Entrepreneurship and Design Skills

As artists, you're required to develop many different skills in order to become self-sustaining entities in the long-run. Our events and offerings are aimed to fill the most pressing gaps here. We address needs with respect to social media, story-telling, audience development, grant-writing, and design-thinking, in order to help you structure creative practices that reach wider audiences and also hone business skills that address the practicalities of being an entrepreneur. Check out our Events page to see what may be coming soon, and use our affordable Bio Service to create a compelling Artist Bio.
Lotus Fellowship

We are fueling the future of Indian classical performing arts in the United States through this ground-breaking program. At the heart of this Fellowship is 1:1 mentorship with a thriving professional in this country, a Lotus Mentor, for support in creating an experimental short work that is aimed at staying rooted in tradition but positioned to reach wider audiences. Learn more about The Lotus Fellowship.
Peer Artists

Nothing inspires an individual artist more than to know that there others like them learning, creating, and performing. Check out our Instagram to see our regular features of emerging (30 years of age and under) Indian classical performing artists in the United States.
Presenter Roundtable

The presenting of Indian classical performing arts occurs across the United States primarily through organizations led by passionate volunteers. We help connect these organizations and leaders to address common issues, share institutional knowledge, and make commitments to support emerging U.S. artists. Contact us if you would like to join our next discussion and check out our Events page to see updates on our past discussions.
Curated Artist Partnerships

As part of our larger vision of elevating and amplifying the presence and perception of Indian classical performing art forms in the United States, we seek to create opportunities for these artists where they may not currently exist. Learn more about how we work with mainstream presenting organizations to create more awareness of Indian classical genres and match artists for performance opportunities.
Mentor Artists

Despite the challenges of becoming a thriving Indian classical performing artist in this country, these Mentor Artists have not only navigated uncharted territory but have also offered to share their insights with others. As Mentors for The Lotus Fellowship and through offering their perspectives in our Conversations with An Artist series, they support our organization and the community that relies on it in more ways than one!
